Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Albert Plastic Surgery uses cookies and similar technologies on www.albertplasticsurgery.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page views — for example, that you have already told us how you feel about analytics cookies, or which advertisement brought you to us.
This policy was last updated on 27 October 2026.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Nothing in those two categories is switched on until you press Accept. Press Decline and they stay off. If you ignore the banner, the default is the same as declining.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings button on this website. Choosing Decline, or withdrawing an earlier Accept, also asks the analytics and marketing tags to delete the cookies they previously set on your device.
Because your choice has to be remembered for the site to respect it, the single cookie that records your decision is written before you choose whether to accept anything.
Strictly necessary
These are needed to remember your cookie choice and to keep the site working. They are not used for advertising.
- albert_cookie_consent — records whether you accepted or declined analytics and marketing cookies. Lasts up to 180 days, then we ask again.
Advertising and campaign measurement
If you arrive from a Google Ads click, this site records that click so the appointment request you later send can be matched to the advertisement that brought you. These are first-party cookies set by this website, and they hold the click identifier only — no personal details, and no profile of your browsing across other sites.
- _ap_gclid — Google Ads click identifier. Set only on our advertisement landing pages when you arrive from an ad. Lasts up to 90 days.
- _ap_wbraid — Google Ads click identifier used by some app and iOS ad formats. Set only on our advertisement landing pages. Lasts up to 90 days.
- _ap_gbraid — Google Ads click identifier used by some app and iOS ad formats. Set only on our advertisement landing pages. Lasts up to 90 days.
This site also keeps a record in your browser’s local storage of the campaign parameters present on the first page of your visit — such as utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign — so a request sent several pages later still carries the campaign that brought you. It is held for up to 90 days, is never overwritten while it is live, and is sent to us only if you submit a form.
Analytics — only after you accept
These help us understand which pages are useful and where visitors lose their way. They are off until you accept.
- _ga and _ga_RWSS57F9KV, _ga_53SGL7WQJ0 — Google Analytics 4. Distinguish one browser from another so we can count visits and see how a visit moves through the site. Last up to 2 years.
- _gid — Google Analytics. Distinguishes visitors within a short window. Lasts up to 24 hours.
- _gat — Google Analytics. Limits how often requests are sent, so we do not over-count. Lasts about 1 minute.
- _gac_ — Google Ads. Measures how a campaign performs. Lasts up to 90 days.
Our visitor statistics tool, Plausible, does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, so it runs without needing your permission. It tells us how many people read a page; it cannot follow an individual.
Marketing — only after you accept
These let us measure advertising and show relevant advertising on other platforms. They are off until you accept.
- _fbp — Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Identifies a browser for advertising measurement. Lasts up to 90 days.
- _fbc — Meta. Records the ad click that brought you here, when one is present. Lasts up to 90 days.
- _ttp and _tt_enable_cookie — TikTok. Advertising measurement and attribution. Last up to about 13 months.
- zc_ cookies — Zoho. Connect a website visit to our practice-management system so we can see how an enquiry reached us. Lifetime set by Zoho.
Accessibility preferences
This site uses an accessibility overlay so visitors can adjust contrast, text size and navigation. When you use it, the overlay stores your accessibility preferences in your browser. Those settings stay on your device and are not used for advertising.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not set advertising cookies before you accept, and declining does not reduce what you can do on this site.
Managing cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy or Security. Blocking all cookies will not stop you reading this site, but the cookie banner will not be able to remember your choice, so it may reappear on each visit.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google’s browser add-on, and manage advertising preferences through your Google, Meta and TikTok account settings.
